Frequently Asked Questions:
How are the teams divided?
The league is divided into divisions by grade ranges. What the ranges are depends on the number of children that register in each grade. The optimal divisions are 1) Kindergarten, 2) 1st-2nd, 3) 3rd-4th, 4) 5th-6th and 5) 7th-8th. Based on projections from last year's numbers, we expect the divisions this year to be 1) K-1st, 2) 2nd-4th, 3) 5th-6th and 4) 7th-8th.
What are the ball sizes used?
Depending on the way the divisions result, the younger divisions use a 27" ball (through 1st or 2nd grade) and the next divisions use 28.5" balls. 7th-8th grade use a regulation size ball.
Do boys and girls have separate teams?
As we grow, we plan to have different divisions for boys and girls. However, to this point, our league has not had enough registrants to have separate boys and girls teams. We look forward to the time when this will be possible.
What are the goal heights used?
For this year's projected divisions 1) K-1st: 7', 2) 2nd-4th: 8', 3) 5th and older: 10'
What size courts are used?
Divisions through 4th grade play across court from side to side making the court length 50'. Divisions 5th and older play the full length of 84'.
